Our Healthbox, Our Community

Our Healthbox, Our Community

WHIWH provides culturally safe care for racialized women, trans & non-binary clients, while driving research, advocacy & capacity building.

For Women's Health in Women's Hands, having a Healthbox is not just about convenience - it is about justice, dignity, and equity. Too many of the clients we serve face systemic barriers to care, including racism, stigma, and language challenges. A Healthbox breaks down those barriers, providing a safe, reliable way to access essential health products and services when they are needed most.

The Healthbox also reflects our deep commitment to culturally safe and responsive care. Placed where our communities live, work, and gather, it brings healthcare closer to the people who need it, on their terms. This accessibility empowers women, trans, and non-binary clients to take control of their health with confidence, building trust and independence along the way.

A Healthbox is more than a tool - it is a symbol of change. It strengthens our mission of advocacy, research, and capacity building while directly addressing health inequities. By combining innovation with our community-driven approach, it helps us reimagine healthcare systems and create a future where every person in our communities can live well and thrive."
