"Having a Healthbox that dispenses essential healthcare resources to our remote community is a game changer. It empowers individuals with the tools to take control of their health, reduces stigma, and ensures that no one is left behind in the journey towards wellbeing."
Shauvaughn Good, Public Health Nurse Mary Adele Bishop Health Centre
"Our Healthbox helps address urgent public health issues in the NWT—like the syphilis outbreak, drug poisonings, and lack of essential supplies—so everyone can care for their health in a way that’s safe, private, and respectful."
Lesa Semmler, Minister of Health and Social Services Government of Northwest Territories

Our Community, Our Healthbox

Our Community, Our Healthbox

The Kǫ Gocho Sportsplex Centre group is a community-focused group dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and recreation in Behchokǫ.

Accessible, low-barrier services are essential for supporting the health, safety, and dignity of people in Behchokö, particularly those most vulnerable to public health risks.

In small and remote communities, barriers such as stigma, transportation challenges, and limited service hours can make it difficult for people to access the care and supplies they need.

Removing these barriers is a critical step in ensuring everyone has a fair opportunity to protect their health.
