“The Healthbox’s most significant impact will be serving populations that face substantial barriers to traditional healthcare. It will greatly increase accessibility by offering supplies at all hours and will empower the population to take control of their health.”

Our Healthbox, Our Community

Our Healthbox, Our Community

Mike Zubko Airport is Inuvik’s main airport, connecting northern communities, supporting travel, and providing vital access to goods and services.

The Mike Zubko Airport is more than a travel hub — it’s a gateway to the North and a vital connection point for Inuvik and surrounding communities. Placing a Healthbox here ensures travelers and residents alike have access to essential health and wellness supplies.

For many in the North, resources can be difficult to access due to distance, cost, or privacy concerns. The Healthbox helps bridge these gaps by providing free, anonymous support right where people need it most.

By introducing the Healthbox at the airport, Inuvik is showing leadership in reducing stigma and supporting community wellness. It’s a small step with a big impact, helping to create a healthier, more resilient North.
