Our Community, Our Healthbox

Our Community, Our Healthbox

Serving Yellowknife since 1949, the Public Library offers a welcoming space at Centre Square Mall with resources for learning, leisure, and community connection.

The Yellowknife Public Library has always been more than books — it’s a safe, welcoming space for the whole community. Adding a Healthbox builds on that role by offering people easy access to resources that support health and wellbeing.

In Yellowknife, where access to services can sometimes be limited, the Healthbox helps bridge gaps. It provides free, stigma-free access to items people may not feel comfortable asking for elsewhere, making care more accessible to everyone.

Libraries are trusted places where people go to learn, explore, and connect. The Healthbox reflects the library’s commitment to meeting the community’s evolving needs. Just as it has for decades, the library continues to adapt — ensuring people in Yellowknife have the resources they need to stay healthy, safe, and connected.
